Trying to get connected again...

A moment of peace....

I know I probably sound like a broken record saying sorry for not blogging but truly I have no excuse. Even with the reality being that I truly have not been connected to spirit the last few months shouldn't be an excuse. I can blog about other things, right? When I started this blog, though, I wanted to keep it focused on Spirit, energy, celebrating the seasons, etc. but not being spiritual makes it kind of hard. The hard part about it all is I have no clue why I have not been connected to spirit lately. Have any of you ever experienced this? *sigh*

Anyhoo...I am going to try to get back to blogging again and TRY, TRY, TRY to get back to my spiritual self. If you have any suggestions how to do that, let me know! Otherwise, I have been just living life, riding, school, work, volunteering. Maybe I've overbooked myself? Lol!

Bless you all!

  1. Hi! I so know the feeling of being a little out of commission. I have found though it is normal, or seems to be for me. At those times, like you said you have alot going on, and I think wisely Spirit just sits back and allows us our freedom, but Spirit never goes far or leaves us at all (IMO). It is always there and welcomes us with open arms. Honestly I do know what your talking about, right now it seems so hard, epecially with the COLD temps to get motivated about anything, but I am looking forward to start planning my garden, thinking that if I think about it--it will make spring come sooner! Hang in there! Hope to hear from you soon! Many blessings! Marla

  2. I connect to my sprit while gardening, hands in the dark rich loam. During the winter I find myself disconnected unless I work with house plants! look around, touch things, find the thing that seems to connect you and find ways to do it, even when your busy!

  3. I am all too familiar with that disconnected feeling. I feel so drained and listless when this happens.
When that feeling occurs I try to do things that feed my soul, things that I truly enjoy - art, reading, baking, being outside in Nature. The reconnected feeling doesn't always show up immediately but after a few days of 'indulging' myself, I start to feel like "ME" again.
    Keeping you in my thoughts.......

  4. Oh, yes! I've hit that wall a couple of times in the 14+ years I've been on the moonlit path. Feeling lost is never a nice feeling. If you feel that you cannot seem to "make time" to be spiritual, perhaps, as I have found for myself, you are not actually being spiritual. Having faith doesn't mean that you need to spend time at your alter, nor does it entail spending time reading your grimoire or meditating. All good, educational things, yes. But if they aren't filling that spiritual void that's opened up, start small. When I feel disconnected from Spirit and out of joint in my own body, I smile at the little things in life. Does that bird seem to only be singing to you because the rest of the world is too busy to hear it? Does that cloud look like a brooch a friend gave you? After thinking of that friend, did they just call you "out of the blue?" Forget coincidences! Forget what the world thinks is silly! What you feel, in your heart of hearts, deep in your soul is your connection to Spirit. So, you haven't felt anything in a while? Maybe you needed a break? Mother Nature understands that we all need some time to ourselves. Time for introspection. Time for unchaperoned fun! Time for a vacation from heavy thoughts and woes. Time to breathe. And when you've got the air back in your lungs, Spirit will be there waiting for you. Always.
Also, we're all here. Blog if you feel it. Vent if you need. No matter what, my friend, be happy and true to yourself first and foremost.

  5. I call times like these place holders. The blah gives me time to prune away dead thoughts and junk activities that no longer feed my spirit. Then I go out and pick a fabulous nail polish and paint my toe nails and tell the Lady I am ready to step forward. Then I ask her to open an door in the right direction. Within a few days something in my life gives and I move forward. The biggest think is realizing that I have been place holding until the right time shows up for me unfry my energy and reharmonize my power into the sound place I am now. Go paint your toe nails!

  6. I so agree with everyone's comments here. I have a hard time after Halloween/Samhain feeling energized. I'm a hibernator, so finding small things inside to help me connect is important. And meditation - even if it's just for a few minutes.

I think that we equate 'spiritual' with ritual or ceremony sometimes, but walking by the river is a spiritual experience for me, and I'll bet riding is the same for you. It's all in how you look at it.

Running out to find a nice Spring coloured nail polish now - thanks Buffalogal!
