Volunteering is good for the soul. :)

I think I mentioned this before but I volunteer every other weekend at a local no-kill cat shelter. The rewards or so great you can't even imagine. This week I carried George around in a baby sling while I cleaned. George was born with cerebral palsy but is the happiest cat ever and really doesn't know much better. I clean George's little pen everytime I go and I just love holding him. He feels so good in his little sling...all bundled up and cozy. :) Course his eyes are goobered up here...I should have cleaned them before I took this picture but as you can see, my hands were full! LOL! George is actually the owner's cat. :)

If you haven't had the opportunity, volunteering is so good for the soul. I guarantee you. :)

  2. I used to volunteer in a great place for kids, but i could n't do it anymore. You learned about all the cases and i just could n't leave my feelings aside.
But volunteering for animals would definitely be fun. Here in Greece we have so many stray dogs and cats.
