Tonight I am watching one of my favorite Halloween movies, I Married a Witch with the alluring Veronica Lake. In my opinion, she was one of Hollywood's most beautiful witches. :) Who's your favorite Hollywood witch? Also swing on over to the Domestic Witch, our magical hostess for this great party!
Rita Hayworth. Always and forever, Rita Hayworth.
ReplyDeleteElvira, if she is considered a witch, and Morticia Addams:) I was dying of jealousy when I saw her dress:)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of very favorite movies!! Can't understand why this movie is not on DVD -- especially at this time of the year! Do you have a VHS copy? And yes! she is my favorite witch!

Believe it or not, I've never seen this one...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this movie. Hubby and I can sort of relate, because he wants to run for President someday. ;)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Hollywood Witch is DEFINITELY Veronica Lake, but Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock and close seconds in "Practical Magic". And then Kim Novack (sp?) in "Bell, Book and Candle".
What a fabulous way to spend your evening!
Yes - Vernonica truly new the art and craft to being a woman! After the classics, one of my faves has to be the three lovely ladies of Eastwick - I think it tickles me to see them kick Jack Nicholsons butt! ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip - it should be lovely this time of year!
Sandra Bullock and the Aunties from Practical Magic. And I am fond of Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter movies.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Alison - the Owens women from Practical Magic. Very "Hollywood" I know - but I love those ladies!
ReplyDeleteHi, I have never seen this film, I am always looking for Witchy themed films, I am going to find this one...
ReplyDeleteThank you

boo
Kim Novak is my fave, from 'Bell, Book, and Candle'. Never seen this one, off to see if the library has it! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteVeronica was wonderful in this movie. She made her peek~a~boo hairstyle quite popular. I remember my Mom telling me how everyone wanted to copy it, but that was during the war when many women worked in the ammuniton factories and their hair would get caught in the machines. So she changed her hairstyle!
ReplyDeleteI think Kim Novak made a fabulous witch!!
Hugs))
I'll have to get that film out, i don't think i've ever seen it.
ReplyDeleteNever has a witch looked so good
